In 2018 Cegedim implemented Forcepoint NGFW to secure its global network infrastructure. The Next Generation Firewall deployment was scoped to address extremely high throughput requirements and to provision a large number of core network firewalls with advanced clustering, protecting the companys IT estate from external and internal attacks across distributed sites.
The implementation used a tailored Forcepoint Next Generation Firewall solution with intrusion prevention capabilities as a core functional module, and configurations emphasized performance tuning to match the powerful network fabric. Forcepoint NGFW was configured for clustered core firewall roles, with IPS enabled in targeted data centers to provide inline threat prevention while maintaining throughput.
Centralized administration and policy management were implemented to manage distributed branch sites across Europe, Asia and Australia, consolidating rule sets and security policies into a global dashboard. The centralized dashboard allows operators to manage the entire global security environment and to activate IPS features at the companys APAC and NCSA data centers, enabling coordinated policy enforcement and incident response.
The deployment followed a two year evaluation process that tested leading firewall products before selecting the tailored Forcepoint solution, and rollout sequencing prioritized core cluster installation followed by distributed site administration. Governance changes focused on central policy orchestration and standardization of firewall workflows, enabling subsidiaries to request Forcepoint support as network security needs arise.
Cegedim reported rapid ROI and a significant reduction in management costs as explicit results of the rollout, and Forcepoint will be the priority vendor for future subsidiary support. In 2019 De'Longhi Group deployed Forcepoint NGFW as its Next Generation Firewall to standardize perimeter and site to site security across e-Services and manufacturing network estates. The Forcepoint NGFW implementation was managed within e-Services, the De'Longhi Group IT organization, to support internal operations and project delivery for external clients.

Operational governance was assigned to cloud and network administrators within e-Services, with explicit responsibilities for setup, ongoing maintenance, incident response and end user support. Change control for firewall policies and SD WAN configurations was coordinated between infrastructure, security and cloud teams, and the Cloud and Network Administrator role provided the operational focal point for Forcepoint NGFW management and network security operations.
