The deployment configured core functional modules for finance and procurement, payroll and HR case management, planning and budgeting via EPM PBCS, and a PaaS layer to host extensions and integration logic. Self service for employees and managers was enabled, and the project incorporated RPA options and automation to reduce manual reconciliation and improve transactional workflows. Integrations were implemented using the Oracle integration approach, including bespoke integration of the West Midlands job portal WMJobs through collaboration with eQuest and WMJobs, plus multiple inbound and outbound third party interfaces. Operational coverage included 100 percent shared services access for school bursars, headteachers and form authorisers, and the Council became the first UK local authority to implement Multiple Assignment Security and Oracle’s multiple assignment level sickness process to meet specific security and HR requirements. Evosys applied its ADOPT methodology and a centre of excellence to govern configuration, testing and rollout, with delivery continuing through a COVID backdrop to meet tight deadlines.
