Alliance Healthcare | Distribution | 3900 | $2.5B | United Kingdom | Protime | Protime Time and Attendance | Time and Attendance | 2003 | n/a |
In 2003, Alliance Healthcare implemented Protime Time and Attendance to centralize workforce time capture across its UK distribution network. The deployment covered approximately 3,900 employees and 11 service centres that support twice daily deliveries and a nationwide pharmacy and dispensing point supply chain.
The Protime Time and Attendance implementation delivered time capture and cost allocation capabilities, leveraging ProMark reporting to identify what costs are in a service centre within a defined time period. Configuration emphasized service centre level cost centres and reporting templates so managers could produce detailed cost reports on demand.
Operational scope focused on distribution and warehouse operations, supporting scheduling accuracy, attendance tracking, and labor cost visibility for service centre managers. The solution linked time and attendance records to service centre cost centres and report generation, providing operational transparency of workforce costs across the network.
As a result Alliance Healthcare can easily identify costs in a service centre over specified time periods and print detailed cost reports instantly using Protime Time and Attendance, supporting cost control in distribution operations. The implementation illustrates how a Time and Attendance application supports labor cost visibility and operational reporting for a large national distributor.

ArcelorMittal | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 125416 | $62.4B | Luxembourg | Protime | Protime Time and Attendance | Time and Attendance | 2014 | n/a |
In 2014, ArcelorMittal implemented Protime Time and Attendance in its production department. This Time and Attendance deployment established shopfloor time capture where staff scan a personal badge, select a project code and record the activity they will be working on, providing a transactional record of who worked on what and how much time was involved.
The Protime Time and Attendance configuration included badge-based clocking, activity and project code selection, and export capabilities to support downstream financial systems. Captured time and activity records are exported into Navision, creating a direct data flow from time capture to ERP for production cost accounting and operational reporting.
Operational scope was explicitly the production department, where standardized badge scanning and activity coding procedures were instituted to ensure data consistency. Governance focused on process controls for accurate activity selection and export routines, and the integrated Protime to Navision feed gives ArcelorMittal a clear overview of production costs that serves as the basis for cost analysis.

Barry Callebaut | Manufacturing | 13672 | $9.0B | Switzerland | Protime | Protime Time and Attendance | Time and Attendance | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016 Barry Callebaut implemented Protime Time and Attendance to standardize workforce time capture across its European operations. The European challenge was significant, nearly every country had distinct personnel management practices and practices could differ by production site, which left reporting and data consolidation heavily manual and time consuming.
Protime Time and Attendance, in the Time and Attendance category, was configured to support localized rule sets and site level scheduling, absence management, time capture and centralized reporting. The vendor was selected based on prior experience in Belgium and for the functionality and configurability required to model country specific personnel rules and reporting requirements.
Rollout followed a phased multinational approach, deploying Protime in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, France and Switzerland, with other offices identified as likely next steps. Governance combined central HR coordination for platform standardization and local site administrators for country and site specific configuration, enabling standardized reporting templates while preserving lawful local time management rules.
The implementation established Protime Time and Attendance across multiple European sites and set a consolidation target to operate one time and attendance platform across West and Eastern Europe. Barry Callebaut continues to extend the footprint to align disparate personnel management practices onto a single Time and Attendance platform.
