Aetrex | Retail | 200 | $25M | United States | Tecsys | Tecsys Elite WMS | Warehouse Management | 2008 | n/a |
In 2008, Aetrex deployed Tecsys Elite WMS as its Warehouse Management platform across its central distribution operation, selecting Tecsys Elite WMS alongside Tecsys Elite Distribution ERP and EDI applications. The deployment was positioned to support Aetrex’s go-to-market strategy and to provide management and customer services staff with system-directed information and RF enabled warehouse processes.
The implementation encompassed core Warehouse Management capabilities including receiving with barcode scanning, RF directed picking and batch order processing, system-directed pick-to-container logic, team picking coordination, and a 10 percent QPR progressive matrix quality control process on receipts. The solution also enabled multilingual operator directions and automated packing and checking steps to reduce manual labor and transaction steps.
Tecsys Elite WMS was integrated into a broader distribution stack, explicitly interfacing with Tecsys distribution management, transportation management and business intelligence modules, and Tecsys EDI to generate Advance Ship Notices and to pass orders through receipt, shipping and billing. Operational scope covered Aetrex’s two central warehouses totaling 150,000 square feet at its New Jersey headquarters, supporting high volume throughput such as 2,000 orders and 20,000 units per day, and processing over 100,000 line items and 6,000 orders per week.
Governance and rollout were led by an internal implementation team chartered to validate objectives, perform stress and acceptance testing, and work with Tecsys consultants for configuration and cutover support, completing deployment in about five months and enforcing a firm go-live timetable. The program replaced paper based warehouse operations with RF technology and system directed workflows to stabilize order turnaround and inventory control.
The deployment delivered explicitly stated operational outcomes, including an 80 percent increase in volume handled without additional staff, a 70 percent increase in inventory accuracy, and a 24 percent reduction in cost. Additional reported benefits included same day shipment for orders received by 2:00 P.M., improved fill rates and electronic order confirmations and invoicing enabled through the integrated EDI capabilities.

Canon USA | Distribution | 15945 | $7.5B | United States | Tecsys | Tecsys Elite WMS | Warehouse Management | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017, Canon USA implemented Tecsys Elite WMS. The deployment replaced JDA Warehouse Management System, referenced in project materials as Red Prairie, and was scoped as a Warehouse Management implementation for Canon USA distribution operations.
The implementation included configuration and readiness activities coordinated with a WMS Application Specialist, completion of super user training, and managed end user training across the warehouse team. Project teams performed multiple dry runs to validate system workflows and user readiness, and managed the collection and validation of item master data for all 2700 stock items to ensure data transition accuracy for Tecsys Elite WMS.
Integrations were validated through a parallel processing regimen between Red Prairie and Tecsys Elite WMS to confirm interoperability with Canon USA’s ERP system and with the FTZ management system. The parallel run occurred over a three month period, scaling order processing from 10 percent of orders up to 100 percent for a three week span, providing staged cutover verification of order flows.
Governance and rollout were managed on a ten month implementation timeline, with project controls to meet internal deadlines and ensure the initial go-live date met customer requirements. Post go-live activities included productivity stabilization efforts, and productivity rates were returned to standard within 30 days following cutover.

Wellstar Health System | Healthcare | 30000 | $6.6B | United States | Tecsys | Tecsys Elite WMS | Warehouse Management | 2024 | n/a |
In 2024, Wellstar Health System implemented Tecsys Elite WMS as part of a broader deployment of Tecsys Elite Healthcare Supply Chain Management to centralize fulfillment and improve operational control across its consolidated service center and distributed network. The Warehouse Management deployment targeted supply chain operations that support 10 hospitals, more than 329 medical office locations, cancer centers, rehabilitation centers, hospice and senior living facilities, imaging and urgent care sites, consolidating picking and distribution into a centralized CSC to serve clinical customers systemwide.
Wellstar reconfigured Tecsys Elite WMS to enable inventory classification for daily cycle counts, optimize picking and packing workflows, and support digital data capture workflows. Configuration work emphasized inventory classification and bin optimization to reduce staff travel in the warehouse, and staff training focused on operationalizing cycle count automation and order fulfillment sequencing within the WMS.
The Tecsys Elite Healthcare Supply Chain Management solution was integrated with Wellstar’s new Workday enterprise resource planning system, providing end-to-end visibility of physical inventory assets and feeding real-time analytics for forecasting and demand planning. The implementation included automatic identification and data capture instrumentation and a roadmap for autonomous robot orchestration to increase throughput and reduce manual touchpoints.
Governance changes were led from the supply chain organization with Executive Director oversight, and included redefined workflows, standardized KPI tracking, and role-based training tied to the Tecsys Elite WMS capabilities. Digital data capture and WMS reconfiguration enabled operational monitoring, surfaced actionable insights for demand planning, and standardized processes for replenishment and order consolidation across the CSC.
Explicitly stated outcomes include a 220% increase in picking and packing productivity, a 35% reduction in time spent grouping orders, an increase in line count per day of 2,100, a decrease in cost per pick from $2.75 to below $2.00 reported as 30%, and a 99% fill rate for stocked supplies. The program also supported expansion of CSC operations and improved service quality to clinical customers by reducing waste and improving fulfillment accuracy.
