Acelity ( 3M Co. Company) Life Sciences 4500 $1.5B United States Kaba Kaba Workforce Management Workforce Management 2015 n/a In 2015, Acelity (3M Co. Company) implemented Kaba Workforce Management as its Workforce Management application to standardize time capture across business units. The deployment focused on enterprise timekeeping and workforce administration spanning Advance Wound Therapy, Regenerative Medicine, and Developed Markets, with the Lead IT Business Analyst accountable for aligning business process analysis to system configuration. Kaba Workforce Management was configured to support core timekeeping and time and attendance workflows, including timecard capture, rule-based pay calculations, and exports for payroll processing. The implementation incorporated reporting capability through the KBace reporting tool and was structured to accommodate role-based access for HR and payroll administrators. Integrations were a central element of the implementation, with explicit support for the KABA timekeeping system integrated to Oracle Payroll and Oracle HR system functions, and operational alignment with WorkDay HR where applicable. The project included interfaces to vendor and internal systems for check printing, direct deposit funding, tax processing, garnishment processing, year-end processing, 401k, benefits administration, unemployment, and earnings verification, establishing Kaba Workforce Management as the operational time source for HR and payroll functions. Governance and operational ownership rested with a Lead IT Business Analyst who led and mentored other Business Analysts, retained responsibility for Oracle HCM related system functions within AWT, RM, and Developed Markets, and managed ongoing support for integrations and reporting. Processes were reoriented to centralize timekeeping controls and to streamline handoffs between HR, payroll, benefits, and finance functions, while operational support included maintenance of the KABA timekeeping integrations and KBace reporting workflows.
