Apotex | Life Sciences | 8000 | $2.7B | Canada | Dayforce | Ceridian Dayforce Workforce Management | Workforce Management | 2002 | n/a | In 2002, Apotex implemented Ceridian Dayforce Workforce Management to centralize timekeeping and scheduling functions at its Toronto operations. The Ceridian Dayforce Workforce Management deployment consolidated core workforce workflows for Employee Services, HR Learning, Logistics, and GSO Management, addressing time collection, shift rostering, absence entitlements, and workforce reporting for groups involved in supply chain and new product launch activities. Ceridian Dayforce Workforce Management was configured to handle time and attendance, schedule generation, absence and vacation balance rules, and operational reporting. Configuration included automated vacation and care day balance carry-over options coordinated with Employee Services, roster generation workflows to support training delivery, and role-based access for payroll inquiry and audit activities. The implementation integrated with SAP time and roster processes used by Apotex staff, enabling exchange of roster and training profile data while preserving SAP-based reporting workflows overseen by ES/MS super-users. Operational coverage centered on administrative and analyst roles at the Toronto site, supporting Logistics, Global Supply Program Management, Supply Chain, and training administration functions represented by a Training Documentation Administrator who created over 70 training plans and generated rosters and ad hoc reports from multiple software sources. Governance reinforced a liaison model between Employee Services, HR Learning, and system administrators, formalizing responsibilities for vacation policy reviews, documentation audit, and reconciliation tasks tied to logistics budgets and service payments. Dayforce configuration and workflow orchestration aligned system controls with existing administrative processes for request handling, training bookings, and compliance activities at the 3701 Weston Rd site. | |
