AET Tankers Pte Ltd | Transportation | 2575 | $764M | Singapore | ABS Nautical Systems | ABS Nautical Systems Fleet Management | Fleet Management | 2016 |
In 2016 AET Tankers Pte Ltd deployed ABS Nautical Systems Fleet Management to centralize shipboard to shore procurement, inventory and fleet operations. DXC Technology served as the system integrator and provided business analysis, functional consulting and test coordination support during implementation and the subsequent maintenance window.
The ABS Nautical Systems Fleet Management deployment focused on NAUTICAL SYSTEMS NS5 capabilities for requisition to purchase order workflows, inventory control and operational reporting. Integrations were a core element of the implementation surface. ABS Nautical Systems Fleet Management was integrated with the commercial IMOS environment to align voyage and fixture data, and financial and procurement interfaces were configured to exchange invoices and payment data with DA-Desk, SAP and Biztalk. Different classes of purchase orders were routed and interfaced to SAP and Biztalk in distinct manners, and the project instituted daily interface monitoring and triage routines to manage message integrity and exception flows.
Governance and operationalization included stakeholder forums, regular status reporting, and a disciplined UAT and testing regimen. DXC planned UAT activities, maintained scenario lists, assigned and executed test scenarios, produced test and bug reports and performed root cause analysis. The program also coordinated half yearly disaster recovery drills, managed change requests with application owners, and provided post upgrade support and ongoing issue resolution for data integration points.
