Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District (MSD) | Professional Services | 1000 | $488M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management | Project Portfolio Management | 2020 | In 2020, Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District implemented Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management as its Project Portfolio Management platform. The deployment retained Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management on-premise while establishing an integration link with Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM to support project lifecycle continuity across cloud and on-premise systems. Project Partners delivered the integration using its OP3 integration solution built on Oracle Integration Cloud, and Project Partners developed interfaces to create and update projects, work breakdown structures, tasks, project level and task level codes, and user defined fields. Configuration focused on project provisioning and ongoing change synchronization workflows, aligning project master data and schedule artifacts to Primavera P6 EPPM structures and schedule objects. Architecturally the solution interfaces Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM to the on-premise Primavera P6 EPPM instance via OIC mediated message flows, with OP3 handling transformation and orchestration of project, WBS, task, code, and UDF payloads. Integration design emphasizes regular synchronization of new projects and changes, preserving Primavera P6 EPPM as the authoritative on-premise scheduling environment while accepting project inputs and updates from the cloud PPM source. Governance and rollout were executed in a live production migration where Project Partners migrated nearly 2000 projects into Primavera P6 EPPM, and ongoing synchronization processes were established to keep project and schedule data aligned. The implementation impacted project management, project controls, and the PMO, and established a repeatable integration pattern using Oracle Integration Cloud and OP3 for cross-environment project data orchestration.

MasTec | Government | 34000 | $12.0B | United States | Oracle | Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management | Project Portfolio Management | 2020 | In 2020, MasTec implemented Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management to standardize Project Portfolio Management across its multi year engineering and construction programs. The initiative targeted fragmented scheduling and reporting practices where project managers were maintaining schedules locally in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project and schedule maintenance was not synchronized across projects. Project Partners led a functional assessment with MasTec PM and IT departments and configured Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management based on PPM best practices, defining requirements for scheduling, budgeting, document control, contract support, and standardized reporting. The deployment emphasized centralized schedule control, standardized project creation and budgeting processes, and configuration of Primavera Contract Manager for contracts administration and document linkage. The technical architecture included the OP3 integration connector between Oracle P6 EPPM and Oracle Financials, which was implemented to standardize project creation and budgeting workflows and increase data accuracy. That integration established real time data flow between P6 EPPM and Oracle E Business Suite, enabling the systems to true up actuals between scheduling and finance and to support consolidated cross project reporting. Governance and rollout were executed with joint ownership by MasTec project management and IT teams, process standardization for reporting and budgeting, and training to raise internal proficiency with scheduling, budgeting, and reporting across the combined PPM solutions. Project Partners provides 24/7 managed services to maintain MasTec’s integrated Oracle platform, and documented outcomes include synchronized actuals between scheduling and finance, improved internal self sufficiency, and established visibility for a collaborative project management environment.

MaineDOT | Government | 1900 | $600M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management | Project Portfolio Management | 2020 | In 2020, MaineDOT implemented Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management with Project Partners to address scheduling and portfolio management shortcomings in its Project Development division. The deployment targeted project and program managers responsible for capital projects and aligned the application to the Project Portfolio Management category and statewide capital project reporting needs. The implementation leveraged Oracle Primavera Cloud as the execution environment for Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management, and configured core project controls capabilities including a Critical Path Method scheduling engine, baseline and scenario management, resource management, and portfolio-level dashboards and reporting. Pre-defined schedule templates were created during configuration to standardize schedule creation and streamline schedule provisioning for project owners. Integrations included an interface from Oracle Primavera Cloud to MaineDOT's capital projects reporting system built on Oracle APEX, enabling synchronization of schedule data from OPC to APEX so project managers can surface schedule dates and status in statewide reporting. The migration phase converted over 500 project schedules, including activities and relationships, from Microsoft Excel into Oracle Primavera Cloud using the OPC APIs to preserve CPM logic and dependencies. Governance and rollout encompassed classroom and hands-on training delivered to over 40 project and program managers covering navigation, schedule and resource management, baselines and scenarios, and template usage. The implementation established Oracle Primavera Cloud as the authoritative scheduling environment, adjusted schedule update handoffs, and delivered standardized templates and user procedures for ongoing schedule creation and maintenance. As implemented, Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management provides project and program managers with a single customizable view of all projects, enhanced reporting and dashboards, and improved scheduling and resource management capabilities. The deployed solution also benefits from monthly feature updates and embedded tutorials in Oracle Primavera Cloud to support continued user adoption.
