In 2017 Arvest Bank implemented Finastra Encore Teller for Digital Banking to standardize teller operations and customer engagement workflows across its branch network. The deployment focused on the Finastra Encore Teller Sales and Service application, with TEKsystems engaged as the IT and implementation partner and project manager for rollout activities.
Implementation covered configuration of the Encore Teller Sales and Service modules and the physical shipment and provisioning of hardware to more than 260 branch locations. TEKsystems managed standardization of deployment processes and resource scheduling, and the program included business analysis tasks to align teller workflows, transaction handling, and sales support capabilities with bank operating procedures. Project documentation, including planning, schedules, budgets, risks, and lessons learned, was developed and maintained throughout the program, improving documentation accuracy by 90 percent as recorded by project teams.
Operational governance incorporated business continuity and disaster recovery planning activities led by TEKsystems personnel, including development of BC, DR, incident response, and pandemic plans. Disaster recovery tests addressed Business Impact Analysis Tier 1 scenarios to ensure alignment with FFIEC regulations, and planning referenced DRII and NIST risk framework practices. Coordination occurred with the bank CISO and security team to identify threats and vulnerabilities arising from the new teller environment and to integrate secure operating procedures.
Program execution used agile coordination, with daily standup meetings with the SCRUM Master and ongoing communications to sponsor, owner, program manager, director, and steering committee. The rollout approach centralized deployment standards, scheduled hardware shipments, and defined governance checkpoints for branch acceptance, enabling cross-functional teams to manage operational impacts and procedural changes associated with Finastra Encore Teller in Arvest Bank's Digital Banking operations.
