Allied Irish Banks | Banking and Financial Services | 10469 | $5.8B | Ireland | ActiveOps | ActiveOps Workware+ | Workforce Management | 2019 | n/a |
In 2019, Allied Irish Banks implemented ActiveOps Workware+ as a Workforce Optimisation solution. The vendor and methodology were chosen after a short round of consultation with existing ActiveOps customers, which enabled AIB to recognise ActiveOps as a market leader in Digital Operations Management. The initial deployment provisioned in excess of 900 ActiveOps Workware+ licenses and included extensive training for over 100 managers and team leaders in the Active Operations Management AOM methodology. The program targeted operational teams responsible for service and processing workflows across the bank.
ActiveOps Workware+ was configured alongside the Active Operations Management method to standardize workload orchestration, capacity planning, real-time operational dashboards, and operational performance management functions typical of Workforce Optimisation deployments. Configuration work emphasized aligning AOM process rules and automation settings to AIB operational workflows, while training combined system configuration with methodology adoption to embed standard operating practices. The ActiveOps Workware+ implementation therefore paired tooling with process change to enable consistent operational control.
Governance and sustainment were formalized through a Centre of Excellence and a trained network of AOM Leads and Champions who provided local support and coaching. More than 100 managers and team leaders served as trained AOM practitioners, and the Centre of Excellence centralized best practices, coaching, and ongoing configuration governance for ActiveOps Workware+. This model supported local adoption and maintained methodological consistency across the rollout.

Barclays | Banking and Financial Services | 93000 | $34.9B | United Kingdom | ActiveOps | ActiveOps Workware+ | Workforce Management | 2014 | n/a |
In 2014 Barclays deployed ActiveOps Workware+ as a Workforce Optimisation solution across several business units, initiating a multi-area rollout to centralize workforce management and reporting. The Data Driven Operations Manager role from November 2014 supported the deployment by developing a suite of reporting tools and providing ongoing support to extract operational insight from those reports to improve the operation.
The implementation emphasized ActiveOps Workware+ reporting and workforce management capabilities, with configuration focused on visual dashboards, detailed drilldown reports, and controls to protect information integrity. Workflows incorporated standard Workforce Optimisation functions such as demand profiling, scheduling support, and performance reporting to align operational resource decisions with observed demand patterns.
Barclays integrated work between operations and internal IT, specifically managing a relationship with IIT to enhance available data feeds and make the ActiveOps Workware+ reporting functional and actionable. The rollout covered multiple operational areas and business units, delivering insight to operational leaders at all levels and establishing a consistent reporting fabric across those groups.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical implementation, including strong stakeholder management to capture requirements and process flows, documented departmental procedures to maintain consistency, and the development of controls to ensure data integrity. Operational governance extended to coaching and developing technical AVP level staff, driving change initiatives, identifying and removing failure demand, and making decisions related to employee needs and capability and disciplinary matters.

KBC Group | Banking and Financial Services | 35235 | $12.3B | Belgium | ActiveOps | ActiveOps Workware+ | Workforce Management | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016 KBC Group implemented ActiveOps Workware+ as a Workforce Optimisation application to centralize operations management and capacity planning for KBC Bank Ireland. The rollout addressed limitations in manual capacity management and spreadsheet-based management information that constrained team leaders across operations and departmental silos.
The deployment focused on ActiveOps Workware+ providing real time operations data, purpose built dashboards and reporting to surface workload, capacity and performance indicators. The program also embedded the Active Operations Management method AOM to introduce a consistent management framework and common language for interpreting operational metrics.
KBC Bank Ireland executed the implementation in two controlled phases, the first in early 2016 and the second in the second half of 2016, each phase completed within 12 weeks. Operational scope centered on frontline operations teams and team leaders, shifting daily capacity management from manual consolidation toward system-driven workflows and insight consumption.
Governance and process changes were instantiated through the AOM method and the Workware+ reporting layer, standardizing interpretation and action across departments and enabling team leaders to act on the same near real time information. ActiveOps Workware+ therefore served as the Workforce Optimisation platform that aligned data presentation, operational workflows and management cadence without introducing named system integrations.
