Coca Cola FEMSA Consumer Packaged Goods 109557 $14.6B Mexico Blue Yonder JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2017 n/a
In 2017, Coca Cola FEMSA implemented JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing as part of a broader Advanced Planning and Scheduling deployment across its manufacturing and distribution network. The rollout began in March 2017 and continued through July 2018, covering Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Central America, and targeted 67 manufacturing plants and 344 distribution centers that serve more than 2.8 million points of sale. The implementation bundled JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing with JDA Supply Chain Strategist, JDA Inventory Optimization, JDA Enterprise Supply Planning, JDA Sequencing, JDA Transportation Management and JDA Transportation Modeler, deployed across 95 production lines. Functional configuration emphasized factory scheduling, master planning, procurement planning, inventory optimization and distribution planning to support continuous planning and down to the hour execution. Architecturally the program generated Coca Cola FEMSA operational network models in JDA Supply Chain Strategist and integrated that network with downstream execution modules to create a single integrated planning and distribution system. This end to end architecture links master planning to factory scheduling and transportation execution, enabling planning of shipments across all 344 distribution centers with hourly tracking and synchronized distribution requirements. Governance and process restructuring aligned supply chain planning and transportation workflows, producing a unified planning and distribution methodology that supports procurement planning and cost optimized planning which reduced inventory levels and costs overall. The deployment increased profitability and maximized process and cost efficiencies while enabling Coca Cola FEMSA to meet customer service objectives such as on time and in full deliveries.
Hershey Consumer Packaged Goods 22000 $7.4B United States Blue Yonder JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2008 n/a
In 2008 Hershey implemented JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing. The deployment was executed as a multi-million dollar program and used Advanced Planning and Scheduling capabilities to address master planning and sequencing needs within manufacturing and supply chain planning functions. The implementation centered on JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing modules for master planning and sequencing, with configuration of planning horizons, sequencing logic, and finite scheduling routines aligned to production scheduling workflows. Configuration work emphasized planning rule sets, sequencing priorities, and shop floor dispatch logic consistent with Advanced Planning and Scheduling practices. Operational scope covered manufacturing planning teams and supply chain planners, embedding the application into planning and scheduling activities that drive day to day production sequencing. The program aligned application configuration to planning roles and production scheduling responsibilities rather than to a specific third party integration. Governance included a central program leadership role that oversaw configuration decisions, change control for planning rules, and planner training to operationalize master planning and sequencing. The effort is recorded as a leadership led, multi-million dollar implementation of JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing at Hershey to support manufacturing scheduling and supply chain planning functions.
Marvell Technology Manufacturing 6551 $5.5B United States Blue Yonder JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2018 n/a
In 2018, Marvell Technology implemented JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing from Blue Yonder as part of its Advanced Planning and Scheduling capability for manufacturing planning. The initiative established a single view of demand across planning horizons to drive factory sequencing and scheduling decisions. JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing was configured to support manufacturing planning and sequencing workflows typical of Advanced Planning and Scheduling deployments, including demand consolidation, production sequencing, finite capacity planning, and horizon-based master production scheduling. Configuration emphasized rule based order prioritization and sequencing engines to align fab-level execution with aggregated demand signals. Operational scope centered on manufacturing planning, production operations, and supply chain teams supporting semiconductor fabrication and assembly workflows, with the application feeding planning outputs into day to day scheduling routines. The deployment positioned JDA Factory Planning and Sequencing as the planning layer for sequencing decisions and short term production windows within Marvell Technologys manufacturing planning function. Process governance was aligned to a single demand view, with centralized planning outputs driving sequencing and scheduling workflows in the factory. According to Blue Yonder case material, the implementation resulted in an increase in forecast accuracy for Marvell Semiconductor.
