AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) | Healthcare | 2500 | $950M | United States | Laserfiche | Laserfiche ECM | Enterprise Content Management | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017, AIDS Healthcare Foundation implemented Laserfiche ECM as an Enterprise Content Management solution to centralize HR document management for recruiting, onboarding, interviewing, and exit processes. Laserfiche ECM was positioned as the primary repository for employee paperwork while interfacing with HR systems to support end to end talent lifecycle activities.
Configuration work focused on document capture, indexing, metadata driven filing, records management, and workflow automation to route onboarding documents and exit paperwork. Laserfiche ECM was configured to store and index resumes, offer letters, I9 and other hire documentation, and to orchestrate document-based approvals and retention controls consistent with HR operational needs.
The implementation included direct operational integrations with ICIMS for job posting updates and resume sourcing, with SuccessFactors for onboarding case files and HR data reconciliation, and with Accurate Background for background screening records. These integrations supported HR recruiting functions including resume screening, phone screening, candidate interviewing, and filing of completed onboarding packets on Laserfiche ECM and SuccessFactors, while allowing HR staff to source consolidated data for candidate assessment and workforce records.
Governance and process changes emphasized standardized screening and interview workflows, documented exit interview capture into the ECM repository, and upskilling of HR staff in Human Resource Data Analytics to source information across SuccessFactors, Laserfiche, ICIMS, and Accurate Background. Operational scope centered on the HR function, with Laserfiche ECM underpinning records retention, auditability of hire and exit documentation, and automated workflow handoffs between recruiting and HR onboarding teams.

Canac | Retail | 4000 | $1.1B | Canada | Laserfiche | Laserfiche ECM | Enterprise Content Management | 2015 | n/a |
In 2015, Canac implemented Laserfiche ECM as its Enterprise Content Management platform to address high-volume accounts payable processing. The deployment targeted electronic capture, indexing and automated routing to replace manual filing and paper-based approval flows, and it focused on handling as many as 120,000 vendor invoices annually from over 200 vendors across corporate accounts payable and department approvers.
Laserfiche ECM was configured to provide document indexing, electronic routing and digital approval capture, with business rules governing coding and reviewer assignment. To eliminate manual data entry gaps, Canac integrated Artsyl Technologies docAlpha intelligent capture, configuring docAlpha to extract vendor names, invoice amounts and other invoice fields from scanned paper and digital documents. docAlpha populated Laserfiche metadata to drive workflow decisions, and Laserfiche was configured to create transaction records for downstream posting.
The implementation integrated Laserfiche ECM, docAlpha, and Canac's ERP system, with approvals captured either via email or the Laserfiche interface and passed to the ERP for payment processing. Operational scope covered corporate AP staff and department approvers across Canac's Canadian retail operations, centralizing invoice retrieval, approval tracking and PO matching activities within the ECM platform.
Program analyst Sophie Maltais led the process analysis and collaborated with Artsyl Technologies to implement capture rules and automate routing, embedding governance into Laserfiche workflows so AP staff shifted effort away from filing and manual data entry toward cash management and supplier relationship tasks. As configured, docAlpha eliminated approximately 95% of manual data entry and the combined Laserfiche ECM and docAlpha solution reduced vendor invoice processing and approval cycles from two weeks to two days.

The implementation followed a department by department rollout and standardized workflows to centralize document management and enforce consistent retention and access controls citywide.
