Amway Retail 14000 $7.4B United States Oracle Oracle GRC Governance, Risk and Compliance 2010 n/a
In 2010 Amway implemented Oracle GRC in the Governance, Risk and Compliance category. Oracle GRC was configured to continuously monitor segregation of duties violations and to provide automated mitigating controls to local management as part of ongoing assurance activities during ERP deployments. The implementation emphasized continuous SoD monitoring, automated mitigating controls, access review workflows, policy and role risk analytics, and consolidated compliance reporting. Oracle GRC configurations were aligned with standard governance workflows to support detection, exception handling, and remediation assignment for access and segregation risks. Oracle GRC was integrated with the companys Oracle E-Business Suite ERP program to ingest user, role, and transactional privilege data across multiple European deployments, enabling the platform to feed evidence into IT audit procedures. Operational coverage included internal audit, IT, and local management, with the system instrumented to support audit sampling and control verification throughout the global ERP replacement program. Project management and internal audit support were embedded in the rollout, with a developed communication cadence between internal audit and IT that restructured audit scoping and governance interactions. The deployment delivered more accurate risk assessment, improved audit scoping, and increased value of IT audits as reported by internal audit, while providing continuous monitoring and assurance throughout deployments.
Citco International Support Services Philippine Banking and Financial Services 1500 $220M Philippines Oracle Oracle GRC Governance, Risk and Compliance 2015 n/a
In 2015, Citco International Support Services Philippine implemented Oracle GRC to establish a Governance, Risk and Compliance capability supporting its internal Financial and HR applications. The deployment was positioned within Citco’s global fund services operations, aligning Oracle GRC with existing finance and reporting systems used by the regional Financial Application Support team in Makati City, Philippines. The implementation operated alongside Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 finance modules, with functional support responsibilities covering AR, AP, PO, CE, iExp, GL and AGIS and integration touchpoints into Hyperion Financial Management. Configuration work emphasized control and policy workflows typical of Governance, Risk and Compliance applications, including controls monitoring, policy management and compliance workflow configurations, with analysis specifications created and approved using Oracle Unified Method artifacts such as AN.100. Operational integration included support, maintenance and testing of interfaces and integrations between Oracle GRC and Oracle eBusiness Suite R12.1.3, Hyperion, and other finance applications, with tooling and processes that referenced Dataload, Config SnapShot, More4Apps and APRO for data and configuration management. Incident and change management was instrumented via service desk workflows and ticketing tools such as JIRA and My Oracle Support, with enhancements managed through partnership with internal developers or external partners where applicable. Governance and operational cadence were formalized through a COE triage model, escalation to the EBS Support team, and coordinated engagement with Oracle Support and third party managed support systems for complex issues. System lifecycle activities included new operating unit provisioning, reference data updates and structured execution of System Integration Testing and UAT, aligning Oracle GRC controls and workflows with finance and HR business process owners.
Integra LifeSciences Life Sciences 4200 $1.6B United States Oracle Oracle GRC Governance, Risk and Compliance 2010 n/a
In 2010, Integra LifeSciences implemented Oracle GRC, the Oracle Governance Risk and Compliance Platform, as part of its Governance, Risk and Compliance environment. Oracle GRC was embedded into Integra’s Oracle E-Business Suite ecosystem to create documentary records of risks, controls, and the business processes to which those controls apply, establishing a centralized compliance object model across ERP and product lifecycle workflows. The implementation focused on core EGRCM capabilities including risk and control definition, control to process mapping, and governance documentation aligned with enterprise ERP and PLM workflows. Configuration and automation leveraged Oracle Identity and Access Management for provisioning and Oracle Resource Manager for repeatable tenancy builds, while functional test automation used Oracle Advanced Testing Suite to validate month end and close scenarios before production release. Oracle GRC was deployed within a multitenant OCI architecture that included two node Exadata Cloud databases for critical data persistence, 36 core bare metal application servers for EBS application tiers, and compartmentalized virtual cloud networks in the Ashburn OCI region. The platform integrated with Oracle E Business Suite, Agile, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, SOA Suite and Oracle Integration Cloud, and used Active Data Guard for standby replication and disaster recovery. Multicloud operability was preserved through the Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Azure interconnect and FastConnect links used for high speed data transfer to an Azure data warehouse. Governance and operational workflows were restructured to reduce manual provisioning and to improve auditability, for example when E Business Suite identity store creations triggered Oracle IAM provisioning into corporate Active Directory and Office 365. Rollout followed a proof to pilot approach with jointly defined success criteria, automated infrastructure provisioning via OCI Resource Manager, and staged expansion into development, quality assurance, production, disaster recovery, and special projects environments. Data Intensity and Oracle engineers participated in extending and operating the deployment after the pilot phase. Results documented in the technical case study are explicit to the OCI hosted ecosystem that includes Oracle GRC, with measurable production benefits such as dramatic query and report performance gains when running on Exadata Cloud, nightly analytics windows reduced from about 8.5 hours to about 3.5 hours using the OCI Azure interconnect at 10 Gbps, and the addition of Active Data Guard to improve platform resiliency and availability.
