Watercare Services Limited | Utilities | 1100 | $640M | New Zealand | FieldForce4 | FUSE Mobility | Field Service Management | 2015 | n/a | In 2015 Watercare Services Limited implemented FUSE Mobility as a Field Service Management application to introduce a ClickSoftware based mobility solution delivered through FieldForce4. The project was explicitly scoped to improve information management and operational effectiveness between field engineers, job coordinators, supervisors and managers, including coordination with Auckland City Council, with deployment activity centered on Watercare facilities in Penrose, Auckland. The implementation delivered a mobile client for field technicians and a centralized back office dispatch and coordination layer, emphasizing mobile job assignment, real time status updates, consolidated job information and mobile data capture for service workflows. Functional design work focused on future mode of operation processes and a rationalised information model for mobility, aligning work order details, crew status and supervisor notifications to a single service record within FUSE Mobility. Operational delivery was governed through a project stream led by a contracted Business Analyst from FieldForce4 who designed and peer reviewed processes, facilitated workshops with business owners and subject matter experts, and worked with solution designers and solution architects to consolidate requirements. Workload and task delegation among designers, business analysts and architects was managed through a project management tool to maintain traceability and control during the nine month engagement. As stated in project documentation the deployment aimed to enhance operational effectiveness and improve information management between field and office stakeholders, with the Business Analyst stream providing governance around process standardization and consolidated mobility information for field operations. FUSE Mobility in this context served Watercare Services Limited as the Field Service Management application supporting field operations and coordination across the organization.

Watercare Services Limited | Utilities | 1100 | $640M | New Zealand | Smartrak | Smartrak PoolCar | Reservation and Booking Management | 2020 | n/a | In 2020 Watercare Services Limited deployed Smartrak PoolCar as its Reservation and Booking Management application to operationalize pool vehicle booking and scheduling across the organisation. The implementation concentrated on supporting Fleet and Facilities operations with centralized booking workflows and administrative oversight provided by the Property and Fleet teams. Configuration work focused on reservation and scheduling workflows, driver assignment and roster management, time bound allocation windows, and administrative override capabilities common to Reservation and Booking Management systems. Internal administrators provided technical assistance and ongoing system maintenance, handling day to day booking support, driver list updates, exception handling for fuel and WOF notifications, and sustaining the PoolCar booking catalogue. The Smartrak PoolCar deployment operated alongside Watercare enterprise tools rather than replacing named systems, with operational coordination to existing processes that used Infor for purchase order and invoice activity, ProjectWise for document management, and driver registries maintained on TORO and the company driver system. Operational coverage included Fleet, Facilities, Property and PMO stakeholders, aligning booking data and driver lists with existing fleet reporting and vehicle compliance processes. Governance for the rollout relied on a central administrator and superuser model embedded in the Property and PMO teams, with administrators responsible for training users, maintaining driver and vehicle records, communicating WOF deadlines to the business, and coordinating service or supplier interactions for fleet facilities. The implementation emphasized process ownership within Fleet and Facilities rather than third party integration partners, keeping operational control and day to day support inside Watercare.
