Peabody Australia Oil, Gas and Chemicals 2100 $2.3B Australia Avetta Avetta Pegasus LMS Learning and Development 2012 n/a In 2012, Peabody Australia operated Avetta Pegasus LMS as its Australian Learning Management System, using the platform within the Learning and Development category to manage compliance and leadership training and onboarding workflows. Avetta Pegasus LMS served as a centralized environment for course management, user administration and reporting capabilities to support HR-led learning initiatives. The HR Advisor managed development and delivery of internal training courses and manuals through Avetta Pegasus LMS, including Bullying & Harassment content and components of the Supervisor Leadership Development Program. The LMS was used to administer onboarding and corporate induction, coordinate apprenticeship and school programs, and orchestrate external technical and soft skills course enrollments. The platform also structured the graduate and vacation student programs with training and development plans, performance management tracking and day-to-day program administration. Deployment and operations were scoped to the Australian business, with HR responsible for rollout, training and management of associated HR projects such as the Employee Engagement Survey and the Performance Management Cycle. Governance workflows leveraged the LMS alongside facilitation of focus groups, workplace investigations and exit interviews, and the HR team participated in a national compensation review and job grading process with Mercer. HR reporting duties were integrated into LMS administration to support governance and program management. As documented, the LMS-driven efforts rolled out major HR projects across Australia, raised the profile of the Australian Graduate Program within the global platform and universities, and produced a business case that secured almost double the graduate headcount for 2013. These outcomes were delivered in parallel with ongoing Avetta Pegasus LMS operations and coordinated training delivery.
