Serco | Professional Services | 50000 | $6.2B | United Kingdom | nimbus Cloud | nimbus Time2Work | Workforce Management | 2024 | n/a | In 2024, Serco implemented nimbus Time2Work as its global Workforce Management application, deploying the nimbus Time2Work service to support productivity and safety for more than 30,000 workers across 40 locations in Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom, North America, and the Middle East. The agreement is formalised through a master supply agreement extending Serco's relationship with nimbus to 2024, and the deployment covers a range of public sector contracts and mission critical sites. The cloud first nimbus Time2Work deployment centralises operational scheduling and workforce orchestration, exposing a central operational area that provides real time snapshots of staffing at site level and supports schedule to forecasted demand workflows. Functional capabilities implemented include electronic timesheet capture with configurable auto approval rules, pan operation rostering and shift selection, a Skills Engine for centralised skills tracking and schedule forecasting, and mobile native applications on iOS and Android for availability, leave requests, and training visibility. These modules are configured to enforce contract specific scheduling rules and to manage staff hours, shift safety requirements, and timely pay processes across diverse working environments. nimbus Time2Work is already being deployed across highly varied Serco sites, including the US Space Force Surveillance System operation in the US and Mexico, justice and prisoner escort services in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Judicial Courthouses in South East England, Air Traffic Control Towers in the US, NHS hospitals in Central London, and Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth. The service model supports both local site level operational control and pan operation scheduling to improve utilisation across business units, while preserving the contract compliance and skills evidence required by Government customers. Deployment is positioned as a cloud delivered service with standardised mobile interfaces to support real time workforce interaction. Governance is anchored by a joint Centre of Excellence that will operate as a global information sharing platform, responsible for roadmaps, implementation strategies, training, and upskilling across locations and customer contracts. The Centre of Excellence is designed to capture workforce engagement and productivity practices from individual facilities and scale them across Serco operations to ensure consistent adoption of Time2Work features. According to nimbus and Serco statements, the deployment aims to ensure staff are accurately paid, work required hours safely, and have real time access to shift selection and training, positioning nimbus Time2Work as the central Workforce Management application supporting Serco's government facing services. | |
