Barclays Banking and Financial Services 93000 $34.9B United Kingdom Workday Workday Scheduling Workforce Scheduling 2022 n/a In 2022, Barclays implemented Workday Scheduling as a cloud-based workforce scheduling solution. The deployment targeted Barclays human resources and workforce management functions, supporting scheduling, time tracking, shift rostering and manager and employee self-service across a 93,000 employee organization. Workday Scheduling was configured to deliver core Workforce Scheduling capabilities including shift rostering, availability and time-off rule enforcement, recurring schedule patterns and schedule visibility for time and attendance workflows. Configuration centered on Workday Scheduling native rule engines, role-based access controls and schedule templates to align with enterprise scheduling policies. Operational governance shifted to an agile product delivery model, with an Agile Product Delivery Lead for Workday and ServiceNow in place since Dec 2024 to manage backlog prioritization, release cadence and cross-functional coordination between HR and IT teams. Governance included iterative configuration sprints, product owner oversight and formal change control for scheduling policy updates and configuration changes. The solution is provisioned on Workday cloud architecture and positions Workday Scheduling as the centralized scheduling layer in Barclays HR technology stack, consolidating roster configuration, schedule management and manager self-service within the Workforce Scheduling category. Workday Scheduling, as deployed, provides a single system of record for scheduling rules and roster control for HR, workforce planners and managers.
