Imperial Brands Consumer Packaged Goods 25200 $40.8B United Kingdom ION Investment Group ION City Financials Treasury Management 2018 n/a In 2018, Imperial Brands implemented ION City Financials as its Treasury Management platform. The deployment was positioned to support Group Treasury front office responsibilities including daily dealing, short term forecasting, funding, liquidity and FX and interest rate risk management, with front office decision authority for very large notional exposures often exceeding £1bn. The ION City Financials implementation covered core Treasury Management capabilities, configured to support front office dealing, short term cash forecasting, funding and liquidity management, and FX and interest rate risk workflows. The program included a software upgrade and migration of the Treasury Management System to a hosted environment, and the rollout incorporated targeted process automation to partially automate daily dealing and to improve cash flow forecasting accuracy. Integrations and operational coverage were explicitly executed, notably the project managed integration and departmental rollout of the 360T online dealing platform to support electronic execution and interest rate swap auctions. The implementation supported debt capital markets workflows and transactional FX processes, enabling the Group Treasury to co-manage EMTN programme activity, ECP issuance programme changes, and bank financing arrangements, while engaging the banking group to adopt the 360T platform for auction efficiency and transparency. Governance and program management were led by Treasury senior front office stakeholders who project managed the ION City Financials upgrade and hosted migration, and who drove changes to daily dealing governance and forecast workflows. Documented outcomes aligned to the implementation include co-management of a February 2019 dual tranche €1.5bn EMTN bond issuance, leadership of the July 2019 three tranche $2.75bn 144A USD bond issuance, management of the 2018 2019 EMTN programme renewal, negotiation and implementation of £1bn of bank financing, expansion of the ECP issuance programme limit and issuance of the first synthetic 18 month ECP trade, and assistance in bond issuances totaling over £6bn equivalent with resulting interest rate and XCCY swap management.
