INPEX Australia | Oil, Gas and Chemicals | 1200 | $450M | Australia | OpenText | OpenText Documentum D2 | Document Management | 2014 | n/a | In 2014 INPEX Australia deployed OpenText Documentum D2 as its corporate Document Management solution to centralize engineering, project controls, and project information workflows. The deployment framed OpenText Documentum D2 as the primary repository for controlled documents, enforcement of lifecycle state management, and enterprise search across project and corporate documentation. The implementation emphasized configuration of Documentum D2 for enterprise document lifecycle, metadata modeling, records classification, version control, role based access controls and automated review and approval workflows. OpenText Documentum D2 was configured to support structured document types, policy driven retention and electronic records management, and workflow orchestration for document review, handover, and transmittal processes common to oil and gas project delivery. The program was executed to align with INPEX Australia existing application footprint including project information control and project delivery tools, SAP modules used for HSE and employee services, and cloud based cost control tooling used on projects. The narrative of alignment indicated coexistence with systems such as Coreworx, Primavera Unifier and SAP components without asserting direct created integrations, ensuring document governance and content exchange models could be mapped to downstream project and HSE processes. Governance and rollout leveraged formal testing and verification practices, including system integration, user acceptance and production implementation verification testing methods cited by INPEX consultants. Risk based test strategies and performance testing practices were applied during rollout, and operational ownership was organized to enforce document control, compliance with records policies and standardized review workflows across engineering, project controls and contracting functions. | |
