Manufacturing | 77274 | $33.5B | Japan | Fujitsu | Fujitsu PRO-NES | ERP Financial | 2013 |
In 2013, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries implemented Fujitsu PRO-NES as an ERP Financial solution at two manufacturing plants in Thailand to standardize production and procurement systems. Fujitsu served as the system integrator for the deployment, provisioning Fujitsu PRO-NES across the two Thai sites to establish a consistent application footprint for overseas operations.
The implementation concentrated on production management and procurement process modules within Fujitsu PRO-NES, configured to standardize shop floor planning, material procurement workflows, and purchase-to-order controls across both sites. Given the ERP Financial scope, financial and costing capabilities are inferred to have been included to enable cost capture and support costing processes alongside production and procurement data.
Operationally the rollout targeted two Thailand plants with the explicit objective of strengthening governance across overseas bases and enabling faster roll-out to other Mitsubishi Heavy Industries sites. Governance work included standardizing procurement controls and production management processes to create a repeatable deployment template, aligning business functions in production and procurement under the Fujitsu PRO-NES ERP Financial implementation.

Professional Services | 450 | $60M | Netherlands | NetApp | NetApp SnapCenter | Backup as a Service (BaaS) | 2020 |
In 2020 myBrand implemented NetApp SnapCenter as part of a Backup as a Service (BaaS) deployment to support scale and operational resilience. myBrand, a Netherlands based SAP service provider in the Conclusion group with regional offices at three locations and approximately 450 employees, positioned the BaaS implementation to sustain double digit growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction across retail, resale, government, and manufacturing customers.
The implementation centered on NetApp SnapCenter and complementary NetApp data services including SnapCreator, SnapMirror, and SnapVault, governed by NetApp ONTAP 9.x. High availability and synchronous replication were delivered with NetApp MetroCluster across two data center sites, with ProLion ClusterLion integrated to trigger automatic failover of cluster services, enabling non disruptive maintenance and live failover capability. NetApp SnapCenter was used for orchestrating application consistent snapshots and cataloging backups.
Fujitsu served as the systems integrator, delivering the Fujitsu FlexFrame compute and platform environment certified for SAP and integrating Cisco networking, SUSE OS, and a KVM hypervisor stack. The backup architecture explicitly integrated with SAP HANA for automatically logged backups, and snapshot retention was designed with short term copies retained on primary storage for instant restore and longer term retention on secondary storage. myBrand has planned extensions to public cloud with Cloud Volumes ONTAP and Azure NetApp Files to offer private, public, and hybrid hosting options for customers.
Operational governance included centralized, remote management of the stack, automated zero touch failover and maintenance workflows, and an annual disaster recovery test executed against live systems without production stoppage. Snapshot policies and automation reduced administrative tasks by enabling administrators to manage volume expansion and restores without lengthy downtime, removing the need for multi day maintenance windows and large maintenance crews.
Explicit business outcomes reported by myBrand included on the fly, non disruptive maintenance, zero touch automatic failover in case of disasters, robust system reliability with 100% data and 0% data loss claims, low administrative overhead, and vast storage space savings through deduplication, compression, and compaction. The combined Fujitsu and NetApp platform allowed myBrand to accommodate business growth and onboard new customers while maintaining the same number of administrators, and the customer roadmap includes capacity and SSD based performance expansion alongside cloud integration to broaden Backup as a Service (BaaS) offerings.

Professional Services | 450 | $60M | Netherlands | NetApp | NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP | Cloud Storage | 2020 |
In 2020 myBrand implemented NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP as part of a Cloud Storage initiative to scale SAP service delivery and reduce administrative overhead. myBrand integrated NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP into a Fujitsu FlexFrame based private cloud architecture to support SAP deployments from three regional offices serving retail, resale, government, and manufacturing customers.
The deployment combined NetApp ONTAP 9.x MetroCluster for synchronous replication across two data center sites, ProLion ClusterLion to automate failover of cluster services, and Fujitsu FlexFrame compute and orchestration. NetApp MetroCluster was configured for high availability and near real time copy of primary data, and Cloud Volumes ONTAP was introduced to extend storage services into cloud paradigms, with the first customer migrated successfully to Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
Data management and data protection modules implemented include NetApp SnapCenter and SnapCreator for snapshot orchestration, SnapMirror and SnapVault for replication and long term retention, and ONTAP efficiency features such as deduplication, compression, and compaction. These capabilities were used to virtualize storage and application volumes, retain short term snapshots on primary storage for instant restores, and keep longer term copies on secondary storage.
The solution stack integrated with Cisco networking, SUSE OS, and a KVM hypervisor environment under Fujitsu operational support, and was validated for SAP HANA consistent backups through NetApp Snapshot and replication tooling. Operational governance includes annual live disaster recovery testing of the MetroCluster pair, centralised remote management of volumes and failover procedures, and a zero touch automation model to avoid scheduled service shutdowns for maintenance.
Documented outcomes include on the fly non disruptive maintenance, zero touch automatic failover in case of disasters, 100% data and 0% data loss claims when operating with the configured replication and SnapCenter tooling, reduced administrative overhead, and vast storage space savings through NetApp efficiency technologies. myBrand plans to expand MetroCluster capacity around a 10% autonomous growth target using SSD flash and to extend the portfolio with Azure NetApp Files alongside NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP to offer private, public, or hybrid SAP hosting options without adding operational complexity.
