Aer Rianta International | Retail | 3000 | $1.6B | Ireland | LS Retail | LS Retail Central | Retail Management | 2019 | n/a |
In 2019, Aer Rianta International implemented LS Retail Central to standardize Retail Management across its duty free operations. Aer Rianta International, ARI, operates in 13 countries over 5 continents and has maintained a long commercial partnership with LS Retail since the 1990s, including being the first duty free operator to deploy LS Central in India and the Middle East.
The deployment of LS Retail Central centered on the vendor’s duty free module to support point of sale, pricing, tax calculation, and inventory control functions typical of Retail Management. Functional capabilities implemented include boarding card capture by scan and manual passport data entry, passenger and flight data capture for customer analysis, configurable tax and tax refund calculation based on passenger nationality and route, amount limitation controls by item count and product group, serialized STEB bag handling and labeling, and a built in multi currency utility for totals and price checks.
Integrations implemented alongside LS Retail Central include flight information and airport timetables to enable time until flight based offers and personalized setups, and an integration to eCommerce to support online ordering with pickup at departure or arrival. The solution was configured to support shop & collect at return across locations and to operate duty free and duty paid pricing in the same outlet by adapting prices and totals based on boarding pass data.
Governance and process changes were scoped to meet local fiscal and customs requirements, for example introducing passport data capture for Indian locations to satisfy legal demands. Reported operational benefits in the provided context include high customization to local markets, centralized support for shop & collect flows, and unified handling of duty free and duty paid transactions, with future roadmap items noted such as mobile POS at the gate, mobile loyalty ordering, and enhanced member management to track purchases and personalize offers.

Apoteksgruppen | Retail | 10 | $1M | Sweden | LS Retail | LS Retail Central | Retail Management | 2011 | n/a |
In 2011, Apoteksgruppen deployed LS Retail Central as its Retail Management platform to support its nationwide franchise network of over 150 pharmacies from Gällivare in the north to Borrby in the south. The deployment targeted end to end retail operations to ensure optimum inventory levels, consistent central and local pricing control, and centralized accounting visibility across franchise stores.
Configuration of LS Retail Central focused on point of sale transaction processing, inventory management, pricing control, and financial posting capabilities consistent with Retail Management solutions. The implementation emphasized store level operational workflows and centralized master data control to balance local entrepreneurial autonomy with chain level consistency.
The solution integrated with the Swedish centralized prescriptions repository operated by Apotekens Service to support electronic prescriptions and meet the regulated requirements for prescription exchange. LS Retail Central was implemented on a Microsoft Dynamics NAV application stack to enable interfaces and data exchange between POS, inventory, and the prescriptions hub.
Governance established centralized policy for pricing and accounting combined with local store execution by franchise owners, and the rollout plan aimed to migrate all 150 stores in a little more than a year. The stated business intent was to realize a profitable combination of local service and chain scale that would bring better customer experiences and improve the working environment for employees.

Care-A-Lot Pet Supply | Retail | 50 | $5M | United States | LS Retail | LS Retail Central | Retail Management | 2018 | ArcherPoint |
In 2018 Care-A-Lot Pet Supply implemented LS Retail Central as its Retail Management solution to unify point of sale, inventory, eCommerce and service operations across its Virginia stores, online storefront and phone sales channel. ArcherPoint led the deployment, taking the rollout live at the companys third store and subsequently extending LS Retail Central to all store locations, including EMV pin pad integration at registers.
The LS Retail Central deployment was configured to deliver end to end transaction visibility, consolidating financials, POS, warehouse and eCommerce workflows into a single system. Implemented capabilities included multi location inventory management with reorder point controls, POS screen customization per user, offline register operation for resilience, cross selling and service item handling for grooming and training, commission tracking for on commission staff, and discount, mix and match offer configuration with manager approval limits for high value returns.
Integrations and operational coverage reflected Care A Lots omnichannel footprint and prior systems, the project replaced disparate components such as Microsoft Dynamics GP for accounting and NCR Counterpoint for POS while consolidating home grown inventory and purchasing tools. LS Retail Central was instrumented to support web and catalog sales workflows so customers are charged when product is sourced rather than at initial checkout, and the company planned an ERP upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to further centralize financials, warehouse operations and click and collect functionality.
Governance and process restructuring focused on centralized control of promotions, return policies and commission workflows, reducing manual reconciliation and receipt based commission calculations. ArcherPoint and LS Retail worked with Care A Lot to configure role based POS layouts, approval thresholds for returns, and catalog integration processes to support services like boarding and day care alongside retail sales.
The implementation delivered explicit operational outcomes cited by the customer, including improved web and catalog reliability, accurate commission calculation for trainers and groomers, stronger control of discounts and mix and match offers, and confidence in vendor longevity due to LS Retails North American presence and Microsoft backing. LS Retail Central continues to serve as the companys Retail Management backbone while the organization pursues additional Business Central integration, expanded use of Power BI and AI, and tighter collaboration between stores and eCommerce channels.
