In 2013, A & Z Pharmaceutical implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. The ERP Financial deployment of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provided core transactional and master data support across manufacturing, inventory, purchasing and finance functions within the organization.
The implementation emphasized JDE product data management including Item and Branch Masters, bills of materials, routings, work centers, cost components, item cost rolls, shop floor configuration, employee labor rates, branch plants, inventory locations, lot master and hold codes, user defined code tables and category codes. Configuration work included cost roll simulations, updating purchased material costs and work center rates, revising master routings with updated run labor rates, and creation of the Lot Reconciliation report to summarize inventory transactions by item and lot.
Integrations and extensions were delivered as part of the program. RF-SMART was modified to capture and record date time stamps into the F31122 work order time transaction table, work that involved the CNC team and RF-SMART support and developers to debug run labor time calculations. The team developed new business views and custom reports using JDE Report Design Aid and OMW project management, edited interactive applications and created E1 Pages with links to watch lists, reports and application shortcuts. System administration activity included logging My Oracle Support service requests 22549786, 22451394 and 22286886 which were tested with Oracle developers and advanced to the status of desirable enhancement.
Governance and process redesign accompanied the technical work. Project resources produced process flows and specifications for roughly one hundred manufacturing, sales order processing, warehousing, inventory control, receiving, batch record processing and purchasing processes, and trained finance personnel including a newly hired cost accountant to analyze financial and shop floor data. Costing decisions were coordinated with the CFO prior to finalizing year end cost roll entries in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and implementation roles combined solutions architecture, system administration, business analysis and product data management to centralize master data and costing governance.
