AeroVironment | Aerospace and Defense | 3750 | $820M | United States | SplashBI | SplashBI | Analytics and BI | 2023 | n/a |
In 2023, AeroVironment deployed SplashBI to expand its Analytics and BI capabilities, targeting centralized reporting and self service analytics across business functions. The SplashBI implementation was positioned to support engineering, finance, and program management stakeholders with governed access to consolidated operational and financial metrics.
SplashBI was configured with interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, scheduled report distribution, and a semantic layer to standardize business metrics. The implementation included ETL and data modeling practices typical for Analytics and BI deployments, enabling certified datasets and reusable reports for cross functional consumption.
Architecturally the deployment centralized analytics access through role based access controls and row level security, and it integrated with AeroVironment data sources such as enterprise reporting databases and operational telemetry stores to consolidate reporting feeds. Data governance controls were applied at the dataset layer to manage lineage and access, aligning analytics outputs with engineering and finance data requirements.
Governance and rollout emphasized dataset certification and business owner stewardship, with approval workflows and change control for dashboard updates. The rollout approach followed a phased adoption model, prioritizing core management dashboards before expanding to program teams, accompanied by training and stewardship assignments to sustain analytics governance.

Avail Infrastructure Solutions | Manufacturing | 2002 | $600M | United States | SplashBI | SplashBI | Analytics and BI | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022 Avail Infrastructure Solutions implemented SplashBI as part of an enterprise application deployment that also included Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Application Express, using SplashBI to deliver Analytics and BI capabilities across the organization. The deployment was executed while Avail divested from its parent company AZZ, Inc., and the company selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for hosting, engaging Apps Associates as the cloud infrastructure hosting and managed services partner.
The implementation followed a two phased approach, with Phase 1 covering EBS, Apex and SplashBI and Phase 2 covering Oracle Enterprise Manager and Disaster Recovery. The technical approach used Oracle Physical Standby to replicate the production database onto OCI, and Rackware to replicate operating system images for the Oracle EBS database, applications, Apex and SplashBI to minimize infrastructure risk and accelerate cutover activities. Public-facing external services were expanded with Oracle Application DMZ modules and the program included penetration testing and a formal Disaster Recovery design spanning Ashburn and Phoenix regions.
Connectivity and operational coverage were established between Avail Corporate and AZZ on-premise datacenters and OCI Ashburn and Phoenix regions using FastConnect over MegaPort. Production environment attributes include EBS 12.2.10 with Database 19.15, server counts of EBS three servers, SplashBI one server, OEM one server and Apex one server, and an E-Business database sized at approximately 3 TB, with Office 365 and OCI SMTP used for email. Apps Associates completed one non-production iteration on TEST infrastructure and one dry-run on future PROD infrastructure, and two non-production environments for EBS, SplashBI and APEX were built during the Phase 1 condensed timeline.
Governance and rollout were compressed from an initial six month plan into a two month Phase 1, with Apps Associates pivoting activities and resources to meet the schedule. The program executed a go-live on May 22, 2023 and Apps Associates reported completion of Avail’s enterprise workload deployment to the OCI cloud platform on time and on budget, while retaining the Disaster Recovery and OEM work for Phase 2.

Bossard Groups | Distribution | 2700 | $1.3B | Switzerland | SplashBI | SplashBI | Analytics and BI | 2023 | n/a |
In 2023, Bossard Groups migrated a large portfolio of Oracle Discoverer reports to SplashBI. SplashBI is an Analytics and BI platform that Bossard Groups selected to protect existing Discoverer investments while modernizing transactional and operational reporting workflows.
The migration used SplashDM, SplashBI’s next generation Discoverer migration utility, to convert more than 300 workbooks with no to little IT involvement. Implemented capabilities included pivot table integration, richer formatting, scheduled report delivery and automated distribution, and expanded report creation features compared with Oracle Discoverer.
The implementation preserved Discoverer workbook logic where possible, enabling continuity across diverse business functions that produced critical transactional reports. The deployment rehosted reporting content into a centralized Analytics and BI environment, reducing the need to rebuild reports from scratch and minimizing migration complexity.
Governance and rollout emphasized business analyst led conversion and user configuration of scheduling and distribution, limiting direct IT intervention during the migration. Bossard Groups reported faster report performance and improved usability after adopting SplashBI, and indicated additional functional adoption opportunities remain as teams expand use of the platform.

Chick-fil-A | Leisure and Hospitality | 35574 | $7.9B | United States | SplashBI | SplashBI | Analytics and BI | 2023 | n/a |
In 2023, Chick-fil-A implemented SplashBI to modernize EBS operational reporting across its corporate reporting environment. SplashBI, categorized as Analytics and BI, was positioned to replace ad hoc spreadsheet reporting with a governed reporting layer focused on operational visibility for finance and operations teams.
The deployment of SplashBI included configuration of interactive dashboards, scheduled operational reports, ad hoc query capabilities, and data modeling to surface EBS transactional and master data. The implementation emphasized role based access, a centralized report catalog, and report scheduling to support repeatable operational workflows.
Integration work centered on Oracle EBS as the primary data source for transactional reporting, with data ingestion and transformation pipelines built to normalize EBS structures for reporting and dashboarding. Operational coverage targeted corporate finance and operational reporting use cases, aligning SplashBI reports to existing EBS data domains rather than introducing new upstream systems.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, including a standardized report approval process, catalog versioning, and access controls to enforce separation of duties and reduce report proliferation. The effort is described as a success story for Chick-fil-A in driving innovation in EBS reporting with SplashBI, reflecting a shift toward centralized Analytics and BI practices within the company.

DHL USA | Transportation | 27000 | $3.0B | United States | SplashBI | SplashBI | Analytics and BI | 2018 | n/a |
In 2018 DHL USA implemented SplashBI to centralize analytics for supply chain, logistics execution, and inventory management. The SplashBI deployment supported DHL Express operations in Plantation Florida and connected reporting workflows across logistics planning, distribution centers, and inventory control functions within the United States.
The implementation focused on core Analytics and BI capabilities, including SQL driven reporting, data cleansing and staging, visualization development, and automated dashboard distribution. Deliverables included SQL queries and model layers used to generate interactive visualizations, plus automated dashboards that were part of a broader reporting portfolio that included PowerBI, SSRS, and Tableau. SplashBI was used as a front end for consolidated visualizations and ad hoc analysis alongside these tools.
Data integration for SplashBI relied on existing enterprise sources explicitly cited in project artifacts, including SAP ECC Logistics Execution and MM data, SAP SCM and SAP CRM feeds, Oracle Agile PLM, Demantra demand and supply outputs, mySQL sources, SharePoint lists, and Excel extracts. The implementation consumed transformed data prepared by SQL scripts and ETL style cleansing routines, enabling reporting across inventory turns, NPI inventory, EOL material levels, and transit lane assessments.
Governance and rollout were driven by formal change controls and stakeholder workshops, using Trackwise change approvals, JAD sessions for requirements capture, and AGILE SCRUM practices for incremental releases. The program included production support under SLA for SD MM transaction issues and end user training for supply chain teams. Project documentation and process mapping were used to validate workflows, and explicit project records note optimized supply chain efficiency and reduced distribution center errors as outcomes of the initiative.
