Air Liquide Malaysia Oil, Gas and Chemicals 1000 $200M Malaysia Zycus Zycus Procurement Procurement 2020 n/a
In 2020, Air Liquide Malaysia implemented Zycus Procurement as part of an APAC procurement consolidation anchored at ALBS in Kuala Lumpur. The deployment was operated through Air Liquide Business Services covering the Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai Business Service Centers and supporting the Global Functions for IT, Digital and Procurement, with a mandate to standardize procurement operations across the APAC scope while maintaining internal controls and compliance. Zycus Procurement was configured to support core Procurement capabilities including Purchasing, Self Service Procurement, Procurement Sourcing, Spend Analytics, Category Management, Catalog Management, Supplier Enablement and Risk Mitigations, Procure to Pay, and Payments and Bank Integrations. Product and services management responsibilities were organized for end to end lifecycle ownership across Coupa and Zycus, encompassing solution strategy definition, functional specifications, release planning, patch and upgrade orchestration, and both agile and waterfall delivery oversight. The implementation included integrations with enterprise systems and reporting platforms, aligning Zycus Procurement with Oracle EBS for supplier and transactional master data flows, ServiceNow for ITSM and ticketing workflows, and Power BI for spend analytics and visualizations. Solution ownership emphasized knowledge of upstream and downstream interacting systems, supplier structure mapping and data modelling to ensure consistent ERP mappings and end to end Procure to Pay orchestration across the APAC environment. Governance and operational management were formalized through COE collaboration, offshore delivery centre coordination, L4 support escalation paths, SLA-driven service management and periodic technical code reviews. Solution architecture reviews were conducted in collaboration with the enterprise architect, technical design documents and prototypes were produced for impact analysis, and UAT coordination with business users was embedded into the rollout and maintenance cadence to preserve solution integrity and compliance.
Alliant Energy Utilities 3700 $3.7B United States Zycus Zycus Procurement Procurement 2012 n/a
In 2012, Alliant Energy implemented Zycus Procurement, a SaaS solution in the Procurement category. The program targeted Sourcing and Supply Chain functions and was led by a project team lead responsible for implementation process, project management, change management, and a formal data migration strategy. Zycus Procurement was configured across six separate procurement modules that were tailored to core procurement workflows, including strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier management, electronic procurement, catalog management and procurement analytics. Configuration emphasized standard procurement workflows and role based approvals to support Category Manager decision points and sourcing execution. As a SaaS deployment the implementation prioritized a structured data migration approach and governance controls, with explicit ownership for change management and rollout sequencing. The implementation team worked directly with Category Managers to embed contract language and timing strategies for material purchases and scrap sales, and collaborated with the management team to develop key performance indicators for the Sourcing and Supply Chain department. Hoshin planning techniques were used to align sourcing metrics with organizational strategy, and the project included coordinated process improvement and work simplification efforts across the sourcing organization.
