In 2020, Air Liquide Malaysia implemented Zycus Procurement as part of an APAC procurement consolidation anchored at ALBS in Kuala Lumpur. The deployment was operated through Air Liquide Business Services covering the Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai Business Service Centers and supporting the Global Functions for IT, Digital and Procurement, with a mandate to standardize procurement operations across the APAC scope while maintaining internal controls and compliance.
Zycus Procurement was configured to support core Procurement capabilities including Purchasing, Self Service Procurement, Procurement Sourcing, Spend Analytics, Category Management, Catalog Management, Supplier Enablement and Risk Mitigations, Procure to Pay, and Payments and Bank Integrations. Solution ownership emphasized knowledge of upstream and downstream interacting systems, supplier structure mapping and data modelling to ensure consistent ERP mappings and end to end Procure to Pay orchestration across the APAC environment.
Governance and operational management were formalized through COE collaboration, offshore delivery centre coordination, L4 support escalation paths, SLA-driven service management and periodic technical code reviews. Solution architecture reviews were conducted in collaboration with the enterprise architect, technical design documents and prototypes were produced for impact analysis, and UAT coordination with business users was embedded into the rollout and maintenance cadence to preserve solution integrity and compliance.
