In 2016, Barclays implemented Alvaria Workforce (formerly Aspect Workforce Optimization) as its Workforce Management solution. The initial deployment focused on consolidating forecasting and scheduling workflows, bringing Wealth areas that were using Verint WFM and Specialist Business Banking groups that were operating on an older NICE TotalView instance onto the Alvaria Workforce platform.
The implementation emphasized core Workforce Management capabilities including forecasting, schedule generation, adherence monitoring, and management information reporting, with configuration and administration performed by Barclays WFM analysts. Alvaria Workforce was configured to support template-driven rota creation, skill-aligned scheduling, and MI dashboards to standardize planner and analyst workflows.
Operational coverage centered on Wealth and Specialist Business Banking business functions, where MI analysts produced ad hoc data reports from both NICE TotalView and Alvaria Workforce to support stakeholders. To bridge HR and JML processes during the rollout, temporary joiner-mover-leaver forms were created in Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic, pending automation by Barclays internal IT teams.
Governance and process transformation were driven by WFM subject matter experts who authored new process standards and rollout documentation to reflect business area needs and to make those processes available for broader adoption. Day-to-day administration, schedule change controls, and user training for planners and MI analysts were established to sustain the Alvaria Workforce deployment and maintain Workforce Management operations.

In 2021, Arvato UK implemented NICE IEX Workforce Management. The deployment targeted Workforce Management use cases for client-facing Customer and Financial Services operations supporting Automotive, Retail and Public sector clients, with configuration tailored to a 1000-employee professional services environment.
The NICE IEX Workforce Management implementation centered on forecasting and planning modules, capacity modelling, headcount planning workflows, and agent and KPI performance reporting. Forecasting workflows were configured to complement Excel based forecasting approaches used by the Senior Forecasting and Planning Specialist and to augment predictive scheduling capabilities. Capacity models and scenario planning were used to align headcount requirements with Recruitment, Training and Finance processes, and scheduling rules were configured to support agent performance measurement and KPI dashboards.
Operational integration referenced predictive tools from Aspect and Nice WFM software as inputs to the forecasting and scheduling pipeline. Governance established cross functional sign off between Forecasting, Recruitment, Training and Finance for headcount plans and capacity assumptions, and operational reporting was structured to support both internal and client stakeholder presentations. The deployment emphasized standard Workforce Management workflows for forecasting, scheduling and performance reporting to support ongoing planning and operational decision making.
