Aspirus Riverview Hospital Healthcare 880 $150M United States symplr symplr API ShiftSelect Workforce Scheduling 2014 n/a In 2014, Aspirus Riverview Hospital deployed symplr API ShiftSelect for Workforce Scheduling to prepare and publish work schedules for approximately 200 patient care division employees, coordinating shift coverage for clinical staff, education, and meetings. The implementation focused on centralizing schedule creation and open shift management within symplr API ShiftSelect while retaining Excel spreadsheets for day to day tracking of fluctuating staffing changes. Configuration work emphasized schedule authoring, open shift posting and award workflows, and incentive pay tracking capabilities consistent with Workforce Scheduling platforms, with the application administrator responsible for routine schedule revisions and award rules configuration. The symplr API ShiftSelect environment was used to post open shifts, manage awards, and record adjustments, while daily staffing moves such as call ins and layoffs continued to be documented and reconciled against published rosters. The deployment was integrated operationally with SendWordNow/OnSolve for critical communications and with Kronos Time & Attendance where the administrator served as timekeeper, creating a functional triage between scheduling, time capture, and emergency notification. Operational coverage extended across multiple hospital departments and teams, and included administrative support for the hospitalist physician group, aligning scheduling inputs with departmental needs. Governance responsibilities included maintaining staff attendance records, generating disciplinary warnings when appropriate, onboarding and training new employees on symplr API ShiftSelect, and coordinating with senior management and committees to revise scheduling practices and policies based on identified needs. The role combined application administration, timekeeping, user training, and policy stewardship to sustain the Workforce Scheduling process and ensure alignment with hospital operational requirements.
