The project applied procedural and data technology spring cleaning to streamline IS-U processes prior to migration, updated e-bill to the latest release including a full switch to QR bills in accounts receivable management, and adjusted reports for improved user experience in S/4HANA Utilities. Integrations and operational coverage centered on a unified S/4HANA core and utilities stack with CRM integration on HANA, and dedicated data migration routines for customer master and billing data. The rollout included close cooperation between AEW Energie and Aveniq teams, identification of over 80 optimization opportunities with 60 implemented during the project, and an activation milestone at the end of January 2022 followed by an extended hypercare phase through the end of May 2022. Governance and knowledge transfer were formalized through joint process reviews and a train the trainer program for SAP Analytics Cloud, enabling AEW personnel to create, expand and maintain reports independently. The project followed a compressed timeline with kick off and Unicode preparation in December 2017, development system migration at the end of January 2018, interface adaptation by mid February 2018, and productive system migration and go live at the end of February 2018, completing technical data export and import in about twelve hours. Project staffing comprised four people across Agathon and GIA, with roughly 150 hours of effort on both sides, and a reported deep five figure project cost. Post go live the implementation delivered explicitly reported operational outcomes, the project finished on time and within budget, interfaces operated without errors, MRP and other runtimes were significantly improved, and response times were optimized through SAP HANA. Agathon retained plans to finalize a switch to S/4HANA Enterprise Management starting mid 2019 with a target completion by the end of 2022, and CRM optimization and data cleansing work continued as follow on activity. | |
