In 2018 Augill Castle implemented Epos Now Point Of Sale to support its hotel, restaurant and bar operations across front of house and back of house functions. The deployment was managed on site by the duty manager and covered transaction processing for the restaurant, bar tills and hotel sales workflows to support guest service and overnight staffing continuity.
Epos Now was configured as a networked till and sales system, with configuration work covering cash handling workflows, menu and drinks assortment changes, table management and staff permission settings. The duty manager handled initial setup and ongoing maintenance of Epos Now, and used the application to align F&B ordering and point of sale operations with day to day deliveries and supplier negotiations.
Operational coverage extended across the sandstone building and required technical adjustments to extend the system range so tills remained networked through thick walls, ensuring availability in multiple rooms and service areas. Ownership and governance rested with hotel management and the duty manager, who provided staff training, procedural controls for cash handling and maintained the Epos Now installation alongside other operational responsibilities to support guest service.
