In 2018, ACI Worldwide implemented Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) to provide Analytics and BI capabilities for its finance organization. The deployment was part of an Oracle Fusion Cloud finance program covering GL, AP, AR, Tax, Fusion Expenses and CM modules.
Configuration work included designing BPM worklist-driven workflows for supplier registration, spend approval, AP invoice account coding, AP invoice approval and payment approval, and developing operational reports using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), FRS reports and Smart View reporting. The OTBI implementation supported finance reporting, ad hoc analyses and dashboarding aligned with GL, AP and AR operational processes.
Integrations implemented included bank connectivity to transmit payment files and receive bank statements, AR Interfaces and Auto-Lockbox functionality for lockbox automation, and master data loading via FBDI templates, with technical teams extracting and staging master data for cloud ingestion. These integrations oriented the OTBI deployment toward supporting end to end payments, receivables and reconciliation workflows.
Governance and rollout followed structured release phases including conversion activities, conference room pilot CRP cycles, test strategy execution, system and user acceptance testing, and formal sign off on readiness and risk artifacts ahead of go-live. The integration footprint also encompassed HRMS business setups and interfaces to external systems for payroll processing and compensation, enabling transactional data to flow from HCM modules into Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence for near real time operational reporting.
Operational governance emphasized supportability and process alignment, with assigned responsibilities for managing support tickets, producing weekly reports, and testing user defined fast formulas and custom report logic. The team engaged Business Process Owners to capture requirements, configured OTBI and HCM components to support business processes, and built complex HCM extracts to support payroll and HR operational workflows.

Governance and process work emphasized security and controls, with security console administration, LDAP and sync processes, creation of custom job, duty and data roles, cross validation and security rules configuration, and auto posting and auto reversal setups. The program included test plan and script development with QA, coordination of user acceptance testing, and end user training for finance and project accounting business users.
