In 2023, Atlas Iron implemented SAP SuccessFactors Performance and Goals together with the Succession and Development modules, completing the final phase of its SAP SuccessFactors rollout. In 2020 City of Houston implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform. The program, executed with SI EPI-USE, migrated core personnel administration into SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and reanchored HR master data that had been held in SAP HCM HR and SAP ECC.
Implementation scope targeted two principal HCM processes, Org Management and Personnel Actions, with configuration of Employee Central data models to support those modules and to centralize the authoritative employee record. The project scope also included the implementation of a cloud-based benefits enrollment system, Benefitfocus, with process design to align benefit events and eligibility logic to Employee Central records.
Integrations were delivered between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, the SAP ECC estate, and Benefitfocus to orchestrate personnel actions and benefits enrollment events. As part of the broader program the City created an alternate SAP instance in Azure for disaster recovery, completed an SAP ECC upgrade using the Panaya test and code analysis tool, and stood up SAP Analytics Cloud on a HANA database for department reporting.
Program governance formalized vendor management and milestone monitoring to ensure the SI met deliverables, and project-level change management reduced data fragmentation across multiple platforms. The migration to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central improved consolidation of workforce data and enabled a platform more conducive to remote work.
