Alder Hey Childrens NHS Foundation Trust Healthcare 4457 $515M United Kingdom Oracle Oracle Learning Management Learning and Development 2015 n/a
In 2015 Alder Hey Childrens NHS Foundation Trust implemented Oracle Learning Management as a Learning and Development application to formalize e-learning delivery and absence management workflows across HR and learning functions. The engagement began with a complete business analysis on Oracle Learning Management, identifying process gaps between HR, Payroll, MSS and ESS/Recruitment and specifying integration points and data mapping requirements to support learner records and compliance reporting. The implementation configured Oracle Learning Management to host the National Mandatory training via an e-learning system and to enforce a core skill training framework. Functional modules and capabilities implemented included e-learning course administration, assignment of mandatory curricula, absence management support through data fixes and new elements configuration, and definition of local accrual plans for leave management. Integrations and operational data flows were established between HR, Payroll, MSS and ESS/Recruitment systems and Oracle Learning Management to synchronize workforce information and learner records. Process reengineering work focused on workforce information handoffs into Learning and Development, ensuring data quality for BI dashboards and monthly board reporting, and enabling automated enrollment and completion status transmission between systems. Governance and operationalization work included designing BAU processes, data quality reports, a BI dashboard for learning metrics, and a monthly board report feed from Oracle Learning Management. Ongoing production support responsibilities covered absence management issue resolution, data corrections, configuration changes for new elements, and maintaining the mandatory training curriculum within Oracle Learning Management.
