Acome | Manufacturing | 1700 | $583M | France | SAP | SAP IBP | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | 2022 | PASaPAS |
In 2022, Acome implemented SAP IBP, the SAP Integrated Business Planning solution, to redesign its industrial planning processes and to overhaul strategic, operational and financial planning in pursuit of greater agility in the face of market changes. The initiative targeted Acome’s industrial planning function within the manufacturing organization and framed the program around Advanced Planning and Scheduling requirements for synchronized demand, supply and financial views.
The SAP IBP deployment configured core planning capabilities aligned with Advanced Planning and Scheduling workflows, including demand planning, supply planning, scenario based simulation, and integrated financial planning to unify strategic and operational plans. Configuration emphasized planning data orchestration, planning run automation, and what-if scenario management to shorten decision cycles and support rolling planning cadences.
Implementation partner PASaPAS led the technical delivery and process redesign, embedding SAP IBP into Acome’s planning operating model and aligning the solution with supply chain, operations and finance functional processes. The rollout focused on centralizing planning logic and templates within SAP IBP, enabling consistent assumptions and version control across strategic and operational plans without referencing prior system names.
Governance changes accompanied the technical work, instituting standardized planning workflows, decision gates and cross functional review cycles to operationalize the new planning cadence. The stated outcome from Acome’s program was greater organizational agility to respond to market changes, achieved by unifying strategic, operational and financial planning within SAP IBP.

Adidas Switzerland | Retail | 200 | $25M | Switzerland | SAP | SAP IBP | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021, Adidas Switzerland implemented SAP IBP to standardize Advanced Planning and Scheduling capabilities across its Product Supply organization. The deployment was executed under the Future Planning Solutions program and targeted supply plan creation and integrated S&OP workflows to support purchasing execution and inventory decisions.
The implementation deployed the full suite of SAP IBP modules, with explicit configuration of demand planning, supply planning, S&OP orchestration, and inventory optimization to reflect adidas business rules. SAP Integrated Business Planning was configured to support scenario modeling, planning key figures, and planning operators typical of Advanced Planning and Scheduling solutions, aligning planning horizons and master data for product and location planning.
SAP IBP was integrated with the companys SAP S/4HANA value stream through the Trans4RM program to connect planning outputs to execution, from product sourcing through goods receipt in the distribution center network. Integration points emphasized purchase order visibility and supply execution handoffs, enabling data flow between SAP IBP and S/4HANA-based procurement and warehouse processes.
Governance and rollout were run from Product Supply leadership, with a Program Lead accountable for the Future Planning Solutions program and business solutions product teams driving configuration and change management. The program structure aligned planning ownership, S&OP meeting cadences, and cross-functional workflows between supply planning, purchasing, and distribution functions within Adidas Switzerland.

Agristo | Consumer Packaged Goods | 936 | $244M | Belgium | SAP | SAP IBP | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | 2023 | Flexso |
In 2023, Agristo implemented SAP IBP as its Advanced Planning and Scheduling platform with implementation support from Flexso, targeting end-to-end supply chain planning to match customer demand to production across a business that processes roughly 850,000 tonnes of frozen potato products and aims to reach 1 million tonnes by 2025. The deployment concentrated on demand management and S&OP as core business functions, with a clear mandate to move planning out of semi-automated spreadsheets into a governed IBP backbone.
The SAP IBP implementation emphasized demand management capabilities, including segmentation using ABC XYZ logic, creation of customer and product demand profiles, and a three-line demand process split into sales plan, consensus demand, and latest estimate. Statistical forecasting runs occur weekly in SAP IBP and planners can enrich forecasts manually, enabling collaboration on customer forecasts. Beginning in early 2024 Agristo expanded the footprint to include the IBP Response and Supply module to generate constrained, optimizer-driven master plans.
Integration architecture uses data extracts from S/4HANA and BW4HANA as the primary input into SAP IBP, where preprocessing and segmentation feed statistical forecasts and the supply optimizer. The IBP supply optimizer executes weekly constrained runs that consider resource capacity, campaign constraints, safety stock and lot sizes, producing production and distribution plans for finished goods and semi-finished goods. Outputs are used to inform production scheduling in S/4HANA and to provide a longer term raw material requirement view, with scenario planning and alerts surfaced via dashboards.
Project governance and rollout followed a three phase approach led by Flexso, starting with as-is system discovery and feature prioritization, proceeding through sprint-based configuration and automation to replace Excel workstreams, and moving into an ongoing support phase managed by ticketing and periodic status meetings. Demand Manager Lien Dewulf and Flexso SCM Consultant Sander Anthierens framed the program around process ownership, automation of statistical forecasting, and expanded reporting. Explicit outcomes called out by Agristo include automation of forecasting, improved forecastability visibility, prioritized planning through dashboards and alerts, and establishing a foundation to scale demand planning, response planning and S&OP across the portfolio toward the 2025 production target.
