CAE Inc. | Aerospace and Defense | 13000 | $4.2B | Canada | WorkForce Software | Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance | Time and Attendance | 2016 |
In 2016, CAE Inc. deployed Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance from WorkForce Software to address enterprise time management across its aerospace and defense operations. The Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance implementation was scoped as a global time management program aligned with the company wide ERP and project management initiatives.
Configuration work centered on standard Time and Attendance capabilities, including time capture and timecard management, scheduling and exception processing, configurable business rules for pay and accruals, and approval workflow automation consistent with Time and Attendance category practices. The implementation included configuration of the application to support CAE operational timekeeping and project time allocation requirements.
Integrations were executed with the broader ERP and project stack, specifically linking Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance to Oracle eBusiness Suite for Finance, Project Accounting, and Procurement, and coordinating time data flows with Planisware for project management time capture. ProSiebenSat.1 Media | Media | 7122 | $4.4B | Germany | Vizrt | Vizrt Viz Pilot Edge | Video Editing | 2021 |
In 2021, ProSiebenSat.1 Media implemented Vizrt Viz Pilot Edge to introduce Video Editing capabilities into its newsroom production as part of the :newstime project. The deployment targeted templated newsroom graphics and automated studio production to standardize on-air presentation across ProSieben, SAT.1 and Kabel Eins in Germany.
Vizrt Viz Pilot Edge was configured to provide template-driven graphics creation and insertion directly from the newsroom computer system, empowering journalists to author and trigger graphics without manual studio intervention. Configuration emphasized newsroom automation workflows, enabling graphic templates to be populated programmatically and queued for playout as part of live show rundowns.
The implementation integrated Vizrt Viz Pilot Edge with CGI OpenMedia and Viz Mosart, and systems integrator CGI supported integration and rollout activities. Integration with Viz Mosart enabled automated studio production orchestration, while CGI OpenMedia provided newsroom management linkage, creating an end-to-end path from NRCS to on-air graphics.
Governance centered on updating editorial and production workflows to shift graphic authoring into the NRCS and to standardize show formats across the broadcaster group. The project modernized news production workflows, empowered journalists to create and insert graphics from the NRCS, and delivered a unified, automated news format across ProSieben, SAT.1 and Kabel Eins with improved operational efficiency.

National Bank of Canada | Banking and Financial Services | 32371 | $8.2B | Canada | Skuchain | Skuchain EC3 Platform | Blockchain Platform | 2018 |
In 2018, National Bank of Canada piloted the Skuchain EC3 Platform in a CGI-led integration with CGI Trade360 to support negotiation of standby letters of credit and guarantees. The Skuchain EC3 Platform, a Blockchain Platform, was deployed in a targeted trade finance pilot to provide shared transactional records and negotiation workflow coordination.
The implementation leveraged Skuchain EC3 components, notably Contract Builder and Brackets, to formalize negotiable agreement constructs and manage bracketed offer workflows. Configuration focused on negotiation lifecycle states, signature and acceptance sequencing, and a single shared ledger model to surface end to end negotiation visibility.
Integration work was executed by CGI, linking the Skuchain EC3 Platform with CGI Trade360 to embed blockchain ledger events into existing trade finance processing flows. Operational coverage was scoped to trade finance processes in Canada, affecting business functions that negotiate and administer standby letters of credit and guarantees, and enabling cross‑party visibility between bank and counterparties.
Governance for the pilot emphasized controlled rollout and lifecycle transparency, with the shared ledger intended to reduce reconciliation friction. The pilot delivered clearer negotiation lifecycle visibility, improved transparency and processing times, and reduced risk and faster agreement cycles as stated outcomes.
