Glasgow City Council | Government | 26000 | $2.6B | United Kingdom | SAP | SAP HCM Time and Attendance | Time and Attendance | 2008 |
In 2008 Glasgow City Council implemented SAP HCM Time and Attendance, a Time and Attendance application, as part of a broader Shared Service Centre programme covering the Customer Care Centre and SSC operations. The deployment was coordinated through the SSC Development Programme and aligned with concurrent go lives for Property Information Management and Early Years Invoicing during the same reporting quarter.
The SAP HCM Time and Attendance implementation focused on standard SAP time capture and rostering capabilities, with configuration work to support local absence management workflows. The Education Absence Management Module received an accelerated roll out, indicating the SAP HCM Time and Attendance instance was extended to support sector specific absence tracking for the Education function.
Operational integrations were scoped to link time and attendance records to payroll processing for Clyde Gateway and to feed absence and scheduling data into shared service workflows. The programme reference list also shows coordination with SWS Personal Development Plan Tracker, LES area integration, City Property new company workstreams, and River Clyde Regeneration director fee processing, reflecting multi-department operational coverage across council functions.
CGI acted as the systems integrator for the implementation and governance ran through the SSC Development Programme, with the programme status reported as on track and project issues and risks managed accordingly. Rollout governance emphasized staged module accelerations and coordinated go lives across shared services and departmental teams.

CAE Inc. | Aerospace and Defense | 13000 | $4.2B | Canada | WorkForce Software | Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance | Time and Attendance | 2016 |
In 2016, CAE Inc. deployed Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance from WorkForce Software to address enterprise time management across its aerospace and defense operations. The Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance implementation was scoped as a global time management program aligned with the company wide ERP and project management initiatives.
Configuration work centered on standard Time and Attendance capabilities, including time capture and timecard management, scheduling and exception processing, configurable business rules for pay and accruals, and approval workflow automation consistent with Time and Attendance category practices. The implementation included configuration of the application to support CAE operational timekeeping and project time allocation requirements.
Integrations were executed with the broader ERP and project stack, specifically linking Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance to Oracle eBusiness Suite for Finance, Project Accounting, and Procurement, and coordinating time data flows with Planisware for project management time capture. CGI served as the systems integrator and orchestrated the technical interfaces and data exchange between Workforce Emplive Time and Attendance, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and Planisware.
Program governance was established through a client partnership management organization led by CGI, with a Program Director role responsible for the global deployment and cross functional alignment across finance, project accounting, procurement, and time management streams. Rollout activities were organized to align time management processes and approvals with the ERP and project management program governance structure.
